For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Usually something close to butter. Third grinds a bit every once and awhile, but its the best its been since I got the car.

The fluid can make quite a difference.

I drive an auto and I have to say that I haven't had any problems with my tranny yet. I've had this car for almost three years and I just replaced the fluid resently. No leaks, no grinds or signs of slipage. I keep up wit her. I rarely ever push her to hard though. Can't wait for my F22b head swap. Car runs great! Knock on wood....

I need to replace my tranny fluid in my car, had the car for about 5 years i think and i never replaced the tranny fluid. I'm not gonna flush but just a drain and refill. Then replace all the mounts and she should shift like butter

          auto tranny here

since the last flush, its been shifting seemlessly, albeit with some 'pause' which i think is normal, it aint a 7G-Tronic tranny anyways

but full on WOT shifts are bang on target, tugging off the wheel and tyre chirps are the order of the day.

          i want a manual trans.

u cant heel and toe and automatic.

The fluid capacity of the transmission is close to 8 quarts I believe. When you get your fluid changed, only 2 of the 8 quarts are changed.

Everything I've read says it's bad to completely flush the transmission.

              Back on topic.

The LX shifts fine 99.9% of the time. It doesn't like going into 2nd or 3rd in the cold, but I'm gonna dump some GM Synchromesh into it and see what happens.

The EX shifts decently for it's age I must say.

Mine is really choppy, no griding or slipping, just hard to shift gears. Bought it over a year ago and haven't changed the fluid, and don't know if the previous owner did, think that'll do?

My accord doesn't like to shift from 2nd to 3rd, I just flushed her and put new solenoids at 1st it got really bad. My car would pull up to 2 grand and then drop and engage so I know its just a matter of time, but I also have my civic so the accord is not number one on my list.
