Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Best 2.5" OEM muffler?

    I got a generic muffler on my car now but it's kinda crappy. It's definitely choking shit up and it wasn't even put on well. I'm looking for something OEM as I have no cat and don't want to deal with cutting and welding an expensive catback.

    From what I know, a muffler from a car w/a lot of HP will quiet stuff down a lot as well as flow very well. I'm thinking of getting the muffler from one of the following cars:

    RSX
    BB6 Prelude
    '00+ Maxima/I30/I35
    Mazda Millenia

    Anyone running any OEM mufflers? Please provide some insight

      That a good idea. I never knew you could use an OEM exhaust off a newer car and put it on a CB7.

        You could get a dynomax super tubo. Flows darn near as well as a stright pipe, but it's pretty quiet!

          I had a buddy with a 94 ls vtec, in his teg with a TRUCK muffler. jus a reg ford truck muffler. surprisingly it wastucked up unda there good. sounded really hollow, he had 2.5 with the truck muffler, u heard nothing but the vtec all the time

            Put on a rsx muffler. sublime had one on his old accord, and it sounded stealthy quiet.

                  i got mine custom with a 2.5 high flow, 2.5 22" long resonator with the 2.5 5x8 muffler looks STOCK but nice sound like a stock nismo 350z but thats me

                              For OEM, I would go with a 05+ RSX muffler.

                              They look good, but stock, they sound awesome, and they were 2.5" where the earlier RSX had 2.25."

                              They are a little spendy though. About $325.

                              There is an 05+ RSX-S at school here and it sounds REALLY good.
