For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    No power at 4000 rpm

This has only been happening when it rains. This is happening in all my gears but is worse in first gear. I was at a dead stop and accelerated. I was going to go up to about 5000 but as soon as i hit 4000 my car prety much stopped. Not a complete stop but all power was gone and it kind of jerked. It wouldnt drive so i put it into neutral and rolled to a stop. The cars idle dropped very close to dying and then engine kind of was shaking for a good minute and my car was blowing out aloooooot of smoke. Im prety sure it was white cloudy smoke couldnt really tell because it was at night but thats the color i was seeing. I have absolutly no idea what this is. Could it be my CAI sucking in water? Because this only happens when its raining and it loses all its power at 4000. Happens in all the gear when its raining. Please help me out. Getting tired of having problems alll the time. Let me know.

Try running a SRI to see if it still happens.

SRI? Not sure what that is. Not very smart with the car and stuff. Not yet at least. Could you explain what i have to do?

Try running just a short ram intake. If you still have the OEM intake tube, use that and slap the air filter on the end of it where the filter box once was.

If this cures it, then you know it's the cold air intake.

Here is a pic of mine:

Oh alright. My CAI has two parts to it. So all i will need to do is take the second part off and put my filter there. How much difference would a new filter and a dirty used filter make on how the car runs? any difference. mine is prety nasty from it being just in front of the tire under the car.

Wow...If you have CAI never gun it in rain unless you got a bypass valve. Thats a lil security measure helps.

Basically it will bypass the filter in an event of pressure drop. ie water at the filter. It will allow air to enter the intake threw a small filter. AEM makes one.

Here is an example of the AEM
                  http://www.autoanything.com/air-inta...0A1805478.aspx

mxcx has one for sale I believe.

Do you think that would work on my intake system? It says it only works for V1 systems only but i think mine is off of ebay and dont think it AEM. Should still work though. Right?

Just get one the diameter as your intake.
I have seen them on DIY intakes as well.

Alright. Im gonna make it just regular short ram intake until i can get the bypass valve. Is there anything i can do if water is now in my engine? Any way to get it out? Or will it just evaporate?

Ya, I would run your engine for awhile and let it get reallly warm. If you leave moister in the cylinders your screwd...
