Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

stock intake header cat and exhuast are the quietest......but if you want some performance then get a couple of resonators put in to your aftermarket exhaust......and a non-straight through muffler.

I had one too. The name is Cherry Bomb Turbo II muffler, and it sounded great. I painted mine flat black, and welded a nice looking tip on it.

Stock intake, A4/6 manifold, stock cat and World Sport. Hardly louder than stock.

Like people have mentioned, the intake actually makes a lot of noise too, so replacing that should help.

As for exhaust, i'd recommend the 2.5" dynomax super-turbo Hemi muffler. It's a long well designed stock looking muffler, chambered, but with directed flow tubes so it still flows very well.

Thats my bet. I dont' have the part number off hand, but if you google it you should find it.

                        flowmaster sucks.
go with the above suggestions or rsr/apexi WS series.

stole my answer. Hell, my boy has the RSR on his teg - it was a tad quieter than my WS2 and the WS2 was near silent - just had a nice purr to it.

ever thought about a twin loop muffler??? its designed to run the exhaust thro the chamber twice to reduce the nosie levels. i am going to put one on my prelude.

Yeah RS*R and WS2 are the quietest from all I've been told. But ws2 (apexi) is not straight through or SS I'm pretty sure. I think I'm leaning towards RS*R, pricey stuff though.
