Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Thats an intresting proposal. I've never tried that. But why would you want to? I'm pretty sure the H22 rod is shorter then the H23's so you'll actually be destroking your engine and where the wrist pin gets pressed it might be different to although I don't know for sure.

The oil squirters are to keep the wrist pin bearings and cylinder walls lubed. On an H22 you want to try to control the heat produced by the higher reving.

They aren't going to help you rev any higher, why not just use H23 rods?

      kinda related question...

If I replace F22A2 rods with aftermarket made for the car like crower billet rods...will they have oil squirters if our cars have them?

and the oil squirters are normally on the block, not the rods/pistons...they just squirt at them
Exactly the squiters on long tubes with holes punched in them to squirt oil at the bottom end. Think sprinklers and they are on the engine have nothing to do with the moving parts.

The rods for the F22 and H23 are identical. The pistons for the H22 and h23 are identical. The h22 rods are shorter than the units for the others.I will check once I get to work, but I think that the F23A ( 98-02 Accords) have a LONGER stroke than the f22/h23.

Ahh, yes I was correct. The F23A engines have an 86mm bore X 97mm stroke. I wonder if the 2mm longer stroke would make much difference in power? That's also the LONGEST stroke I can find in ANY Honda engine...

ah, a pic I saw of some rod with a hole on the intake side of it had me confused. I thought this oil squirting system was integrated into the rod and piston somehow.
