Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    delta regrind question!!!!!!

Hey guys well i just got done tuning up my friends accord and he just put in the delta 272... now i take it out for a test drive and it feels like it pulls just as hard as my car and his car sounds a hell of a lot more lopey but he doesn't have as big as exhaust or no a6 intake manifold and his car isn't tuned for the cam... just wondering where the markings are on the cam to show its a 272 or what?? i'm thinking i got fucked when i got my cam from Dr.Occa like 3 years back and its a 264 or something..

if you have more work done to your motor to improve flow in and out than just a delta 272 cam, you're F22 will need to be tuned and will idle higher or need the higher idle to idle properly. My red accord with a 3-inch short ram intake, bored h23 tb, ported h23 intake manifold, f22 portwork, kamikaze header and 2.5-inch exhaust idles at 1200 rpm at 18 deg BTDC set through Hondata s200 system. Mechanically it could only idle at 900 rpm max (tried everything to help, you need it controlled through engine management system) and that wasn't enough and it would stall out on me. it doesn't stall out now, takes a good solid 10 minutes in cold weather to warm up though. also, i would get a block off plate for the starting air valve, helps keep a consistent idle or you'll get a vacuum leak from it with a more aggressive cam cuz it won't have enough vacuum at idle to keep it closed.
