Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Hey does anyone have the apex afc to control your air fuel mixture? Im thinking about getting mine since im about to do some modifications to my intake system, manifold, throttle body, and my cam. So if you have it let me know.

i have one, but you cant go by anyone elses specs. to properly tune your car, you will need to put it on a dyno equiped with a wideband o2... and adjust accordingly.

yeah but i thought it had an air feul ratio meter in it? if it does why do you need to go to a dyno is you can adjust air feul by yourself. Dyno would be optimul though.

cause your car reads on a narrowband 02 sensor not a wideband. Narrowband 02's are not nearly as accurate...its like telling the ecu the car is running lean...but doesn't say how lean its running ya know? Although the afc does have a a/f gauge built in it is not accurate. Seriously put it on a dyno with a wideband and you'll see how off a narrowband is compared to a wideband sensor. Do some research between the two subjects and you'll find your answers.

I'll git er' don today lol...theres an a/f ratio readout in one of the modes. Go to www.apexi.com and search through the manual for the vafc's if u don't have the physical manual anymore...gimme a couple hours or so and i'll have you diy up in no time hopefully
