Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Only heard bad things about pacesetter products. They are cheap for a reason. They dont last, and you will have to replace them because they all fail.

I have heard on some of there headers the welds are shitty. Some people have to go back and grind it down with a dremel.

I have the pacesetter catback on my cb and it sounds like shit. Once you hit more than like 2k rpm all you hear is that annoying rattly, raspy sound. Also it resonates really badly and gives me really bad headaches while cruising at a constant speed. And at idle it just has a put put sound...didn't notice much of a power increase either. And i've only had it on for about 5 months now and the clamps that came with it are rusted...they actually started to rust literally within a week of having it. Also it holds a lot of water, everytime I start it up I rev it to kick the water out and soooo much comes out.
Moral of the story...yea it's a cheap catback...because it sucks. There is not a single posative thing about their catbacks other than the price but...considering the quality...it's still a ripoff. Your best bet would be to save up a little more and try to get a better product like magnaflow, apexi, etc. Or have a muffler shop put a custom setup on there.
I've never had first hand experience with their headers but from what I hear they're just as bad as the catbacks...don't bother with pacesetter.Last edited by Bongo; 11-08-2006, 11:48 PM.

ppl don't really mention paceseetter b/c there's really nothing to mention about them....
The pacesetter problems include small schedule piping which causes increased interior noise and unwanted resonance, weak welds, and almost a lack of sound tuning...but it does the job.
the WS2 is much better, but the RSR Exmag is the best system of them all...im even going to say its the best exhaust system for our cars...in quality, sound and fitment, ....the only thing is that the RSR is on crazy backorder and its a little pricey...DEVOTE
