Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

A6 has dual runners on the intake mani. B1 has single runners and VTEC.

Neither. They won't move an inch if they're not in a car.

ok..assuming i drove both..which is better...I like vtec, but it is more for top-end, and the a6 makes it's torque and powre around 4-4500 rpm. So, could I take a f22b1 head, and put it on my f22a6 block? I would think it's not worth it, but ya never know by not asking..I want to go turbo too, so I don't know..

dont try to frankenstein motor it, its not worth it and it doesnt seem like you know enuf to even attempt it.. no offence. F22b1 has 15 HP on the a6. IAB can not compare with Vvt and vtec.. sorry.

I'd go with there isn't a big enough difference between the two to make a shit of a difference.

It's story time (and like whomever said, it's more about the driver). My lil 258K mile 4 banger F22a4 beat a 3.1L and 3.8L, both GM engines on a lil traffic light take off....so it really won't make a shit of a difference.

But the VTEC F22b1 head on F22a1/a4/a6 block is nothing new. Not worth it in my opinion.

Man, I can't wait to drop my F22a1 in....the looks on people's faces as they get smoked by an Accord = priceless

Yeah, but only because of the Camshaft, Intake manifold and exhaust manifold. Hondafan81 plans on using the H23 intake, an aftermarket header, a reground performance camshaft, and a high compression bottom end. That'll smoke my mildly built F22b1... Damn...

Would you like aaa schmoke and a pancake?!?

I'm not going all out, just a lil fun in the sun is all....it'll have to do me til I save up for my good weather only RWD sports car

All I'm saying is, don't just go sticking a F22b1 VTEC head on a F22 bottom end and call it a day, and think your car is the shit. I want to see people putting a lil more thought into their projects. I know I'm not rich, I'm just saving and doing what I can with the money I have and trying to save as much money by doing all the work I can myself. Bottomline is, if you're just swapping Accord parts around onto your Accord engine....in the end you will get stock-like Accord performance. If that is what you want, that is fine....but if you were to take what you have now on your engine and make key changes and tweak the key parts you have....you will outperform the other people just swapping around Accord parts.
