Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    my CB7 ain't giving it's full Power?? Whats wrong

    My 91 CB7 ex isn't giving it's full power. I don't know why.When i take off on first max it'll hit will be like 15mph. But some how my gears are not goin to their max. i defently noticed that today. because when i was on 5th gear the car was going 60mph n it was at 2000 Rpm. N by the time i hit 75-80 it was, on like 4000RPM and was acting like that was the max speed.

    P.s. i need to know "WHAT IS THE PROBLEM"?? i need my car to give full power

    Well first thing you need to specify is that its an Automatic , then people will expain that you may want to service the trans and get a new converter , seems to me the tourqe converter is junk , but id never buy a Auto so im not sure , hopefully some Automatic Guyz can help more but id check the fluid and have a shop check converter and see if thats it , good luck man seems like u might not have all the gears or something cause it shouldnt be reving at 4000 rpm and toppin out unless its not getting into the higher gears ...

              if the clutch is slipping, whats that really Mean??? Like i don't understand , what that would have to do with the speed of the car, like the RPM reving loud at such a low RPM. telling me to change the gears which equals no max speed on the gears.

              also if the clutch is slipping that would only mean i need a new clutch right, anybody know labor on a clutch

                Wow reading Pwnz you!
                Automatic = 4 speed in CB7s
                Manual = 5 speed in CB7s

                  slipping clutch

                  http://www.tpub.com/content/construc.../14273_141.htm

                  Slipping occurs when the driven disc fails to rotate at the same speed as the driving members when the clutch is fully engaged. This condition results whenever the clutch pressure plate fails to hold the disc tight against the face of the flywheel. If clutch slippage is severe, the engine speed will rise rapidly on acceleration, while the vehicle gradually increases in speed. Slight but continuous slippage may go unnoticed until the clutch facings are ruined by excessive temperature caused by friction.

                  To test the clutch for slippage, set the emergency brake and start the engine. Place the transmission or transaxle in high gear. Then try to drive the vehicle forward by slowly releasing the clutch pedal. A clutch in good condition should lock up and immediately kill the engine. A badly slipping clutch may allow the engine to run, even with the clutch pedal fully released. Partial clutch slippage could let the engine run momentarily before stalling.

                  NOTE Never let a clutch slip for more than a second or two. The extreme heat generated by slippage will damage the flywheel and pressure plate faces.

                  on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
                  where you been, is something wrong?
                  i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.
