Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Any of you guys bought one of these or have had any experience with it? I wonder if there're as good as AEM.

Isn't there a difference in the one piece design vs the 2 piece as far as performance?

i prefer the 2piece, so in the winter i can take the extension off. that way i dont have to worry about soaking the filter.

Agreed. An intake is an intake. The only difference is the length and the temperature of the air that it allows in.

agreed an intake is an intake, its the filter that matters...no not for an extra 10hp to the wheels just for durability and longevity.

even if you get the latest V2 AEM Cold air system and Paid $300 for it, on our slight mod (I/H/E) F22A accord, the CAI net at most 5-7whp, so an cheap Ebay with good filter will net u 4-5whp for less then $50. Short ram is plug and play, CAI slight modify on most car(cutting and enlarging hole) AND STICK WITH 3" pipe with 2 nibble at the TB end, You get crappy idle if you only have breather nibble and the other one is pluged up.

see picture below with 2 nibble:

Most inexpensive intakes just have a rod for you to plug in one of your vaccum hoses esentially pluggin it up. I haven't noticed any different idle with mine plugged. You could always tap the CAI with a working tube to hook it back up.

Be sure to reset your computer after putting it on and you'll be fine.

CAIs tend to be a little noiser, but hey, don't you want everyone to know you got some mods done?? lol..

If you want loud, try SRI and an arospeed blow off valve air filter. It even louder then most exhaust system. I had one one with stock exhaust and pull next to an 4" tip muffler civic and my air filter make a louder and deeper sound this his exhaust
