    An Exhaust dilemma, please help

alright so the rest of my catback exhuast finally arrived today, so we can now install it.

i have new headers installed, and im using my stock cat which is still off of the car.

    heres my issue:

i got the little circular seals that go on each end of the catylitic converter, thinking thats all they need.

when we took the exhaust off of the car, only those rings were there, not any "Typical" looking exhuast gaskets, yano the big flat ones

however, when i got my new exhaust, the end that connects to the catylitic converter has one of those gasketes on it.

so i was wondering is this how it goes with the 2 metal circle gaskets on each end, but only the back end of the CC has the big flat gasket??

im very confused and i dont want to put the exhaust on wrong, i jsut wanna do it right the first time

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

so did it come with a flat gasket to hook the cat up to the catback?

if so, id leave the ring in there and put the flat gasket in between...the reason why i think so because the o gasket is probably so flat anyways, the most it would do is make a slight indentation into the flat gasket.

either way, its gonna work...just make sure both surfaces are clean.

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

see, thge thing is the cat ring thing can fit inside of the hole cutout in the gasket, thats why im thining it could go there

idk though, i just dont get why the spot between the cat ad the headers wouldnt have a flat gfasket, but every other connection would

stock 90-93 accord and 92-96 prelude uses a cursh metal o-ring between teh header and cat, it seals a lot better than any gasket...it cant blow out like a gasket would.
