Topmount IC possible on a CB7?

I'm just wondering if it's possible to do a topmount inter cooler on a cb7? I know it would be a VERY tight fit and you would need a new hood and some big fabrication probaly but is it even at all possible? I'm just wondering because all I've ever seen is front mounts on our cars and my brothers have a wrx and an sti which are both topmount so it got me wondering.. althought wrx's and sti's are built for it to fit that way... would it be possible on our cars? probaly not worth it but that would be so cool..

i dont see why not... it would save alot of piping...but subi's are boxer 4's, does that have something to do with it? i dont see how efficient an IC mounted directly next to the head/ exhaust mani would be....look how inferior sidemounts are even.... itd still look tight as fuck though

I knew someone would say that lol.. yea a cb with a hood scoop on it that actualy has a purpose would look so sick.. I also have been thinking about having like a side scoup and making pipeing for it or something to divert air to a short ram intake.. that would just kick ass

arent IC like sealed so how can air get in it?

hes talking about pat (ACCLUDE91), who made a hood scoop that directed air onto his cone filter with the scoop from a suzuki impulse.

why not just cut a hole into the hood, and not even worry about a scoop. it would look silly IMO.

EDIT: or use an EVO-style hood and mount the intercooler above the turbo manifold.

Well there is a reason for the hoodscope.. it is curved so the air is deflected down into the IC and that's not even enough, there is usaly a deflector under the hood also or some sort of seal so the air just doesn't hit the back of the IC.
