From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Care to take a guess at my current horsepower?

    Here's my setup:

    **90 Coupe (Rallye Red)**

    Full exhaust (stainless 4-2-1 header > stainless downpipe > hi-flo catalytic converter > custom bent 2.25" piping > 18" cherry bomb resonator > custom bent 2.25" piping > cherry bomb 2.25" inlet & outlet muffler)

    Short Ram Intake

    NGK Iridium plugs

    APC 9.3mm plugwires

    MSD Blaster 2 coil

    That's what I have in the way of engine mods so far, next to come is a cam regrind. Anyone care to venture as to what my horsepower might be at this time? I'm talking BHP, not WHP.

      lets say u started out at 130hp back in "90. after wear and tear u probably have around 120ish. so u may have 145 give or take 5hp depending on the engine condition.

        Agreed. Unless you have completely rebuilt it with all new inners and all then this is probably pretty accurate. Later

          well, is it a a4 or a1? it a4 i'd say 132bhp and about 118.8whp. if a1 id say 127bhp and about 113.8whp.

            you have prolly 110whp i hate playing guessing games take it to a dyno or get one of those gtec pro performance meters. Thats like a dyno on a budget

              around 110-120 as what people said that would be at the wheels. but yea take it to a dyno guessing games suck.

                  deever had one and he passed it onto shonuff after he sold it to him. I used it. The little reader was accurate enough. My boy use dit on his car then used it on the dyno the hsit was like what 5hp off
