From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    f22B DOhC NON-Vtec VS SOHCf22b1 Vtech head in F22A

    ill be doing a F22b1 vtech head swap soon, but the question is should i get the f22b instead???and why?

    another thing which one would give more hp and tq right after swap.

    i have f22b1 motor now.

    with this swap am getting tb,im,em,injectors,ecu,fuel rail , around how many hp am looking there?? if anyone knows or has idea thnx

    f22b dohc will give better results and much easier and cheaper to work with afterwards.

    its vtec, not vtech.

      If you have the whole f22b1, why dont u use that?

        1. Do what you feel like doing, and what your pocket asks you to do.
        2. F22B will give you that more hp, and tq rating over an F22B1, but there is pros and cons to both of them.
        3. Like phatdoughnut said, if you have the whole motor, then why not use it? It'd be easier.
        4. F22B1 Vtec your looking to only get about 145/140ish hp. The stock is 147, but thats w/ the whole motor, and it being newISH. F22B DOHC Non-vtec your looking to get 160/155ish hp. Thats all depending on how you do it, and the condition of the motor.


        And please.. it's VTEC, not VTECH...

          i dont got a b1 motor i wish, but am getting the f22b1 and tb,im,em,injectors,ecu,fuel rail , for 100 plus guy giving me a hand with swap. so i think i would still be better for me to grap that deal.

          anyone has any idea around how many hp am i going to put down after all that?

            I HAVE A F22B, AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT . EASY TO WORK WITH AND EVERYTHING IS INTERCHANGABLE. ( ACCORD/ PRELUDE ). BUT IF YOU HAVE THE F22B1 ALREADY IN THEN WHY NOT JUST USE THAT AND HOOK IT UP. VTEC CONTROLLER AND A COUPLE OF BOLT ONS, MAYBE SOME ENGINE WORK, CLUTCH FLYWHEEL AND YOU PROBABLY CAN MAKE EASY TO 160HP WICH IS WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING WITH THE DOHC ENGINE. THE MONEY YOU WOULD BE PAYING FOR A NEW ENGINE YOU CAN USE IT FOR THE F22B1 AND GET MORE HP OUT OF IT, ( WELL TUNED ). GOOD LUCK WITH THE DECITION....

              yea i think am going to go for it, plus for a 100 that am paying you cant go wrong.

                why would you put a vtec controller on a sohc vtec? spend your money on real mods.
