From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

A6 Manifold on a SOHC VTEC Head?

hey guys. i'm in the works of putting an F22A6 intake manifold on my F22A1. But i also plan on putting on a SOHC VTEC (F22B1) head sometime in the future. my question is do they fit together very well (w/o major modification)? and if so, would the P0A ECU for the VTEC also control the butterfly valves?

    thanx

i HEARD that people with the f22b engines put a h22 or h23 top end manifold on theirs..and a h22 or 23 throttle body...but im nto sure

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

bolt pattern and ports probably don't line up...if u still wanna add the 16 mani it wouldn't be all that much of a loss anyways because theres still ppl that will pay $100+ for it a couple of years from now.

ok cool. thanx. so the mani will only fit on F22AX heads.
i guess you cant have the extra valves and VTEC

yea, accordztech, the A6 intake swap is relatively easy and cheap. this swap should catch on quickly

since i'm putting mine on an A1, do i need any additional parts (hoses, wiring, etc.)? or could i use existing wires? i'm guessing i at least need one hose for the diaphragm..

you can literally just slap this manifold on the engine...since u have an a1 engine the iab's aren't going to close in the first place they'll always be open unless u have a a6 ecu to control them

i heard that you could hook up a switch so that you could open them whenever... is this just a soldering job that i could do?
