From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i do not believe the TB is the bottleneck.....starting with ur intake manifold and cyl head P&P or just put in a diff design for ur intake manifold

if u simply bore out ur TB ...ur still going to be limited where the intake mani meets ur cyl head....someone once said...start from inside out

porting out the tb and intake manifold does help. it increases air flow and makes the air flow smoother into the head. to get better results have the head matched ported and polished as well. my old F22A6(complete headwork) was runnin' low 14's, until i lost it to hydrolock

save up around $2000+ coz if ur gonna pull the head to get p&p, you might as well get the valvetrain, cams, cam gear(s), uprgraded as well. for example www.jgenginedynamics.com.. head packages start around $1800. www.extrudehone.com also does p&p but a bit more $$$ but well worth it. to p&p the intake manifold is about $500 and the head around $600 and up. these are companies that know what they are doing.

head port and polish makes me drool...but thats too extreme.

the reason i was asking was that i pulled a f22a6 manifold and inspected the throttle body inlet with the inlet on the manifold. it seems to start small and then open up bigger...so im like wtf...why not just have the whole thing one size?

            you know what i mean?

its like this. if we were to catorize the sizes of the wholes from 1, 2, 3 from 1 being the least and 3 being bigger...its like this.

TB inlet=1....innermanifold inlet -->2 and main body inside -->3

I went to my machine shop today and got a quote. if i got new cams and new valve train. He would PnP the head combustion chambers do a valve job, port match my plenum and put everything back together so i can just slap it on

hmmmm....not exactly sure. Maybe this creates a venturi affect to increase air speed into the manifold.

YEah i mean sending it to these big name companies for like 500 bucks plus shipping is a rip off.

i like to keep my business local, so if wanna see there work i can just ask them to bust out a head that has been PnP or something. i can ask around town with the hot rod guys and ask about them.

know what i mean? and if there is something wrong with it dont have to ship it back

My cylinder head & intake manifold are already there for work. Really cool & nice guy. Great prices, has worked on many Honda cylinder heads, former Honda motorcycle & car mechanic with many years experience, started this as own business.

I got my manifold ported at my local machine shop for $50... of course I ended up not being able to use my GSR TB, either... So I spent money I didn't need to... Shit... Oh, well.. Maybe I'll get it to work here someday.
