Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    opinions on this exhaust

    just wasting time looking around ebay i found this exhaust and was wondering if anyone has tried it. seems fairly inexpensive and even looks to come with a 'test pipe'. my mid pipe is shot anyway so that is why i was looking. was jsut going to have a local guy bend me up some pipe and throw a realtively quiet(gotta have some noise) muffler on there, but this might be jsut as cheap. i also like the tunable idea to quiet it down or make it loud!! any opinions?

    EDIT: sorry didn't know i wasn't allowed to ask questions about ebay auctions

      thanks....removed. dont' want to start out here on a bad foot like that. just didn't see that rule anywhere but i'm gonna go look now!!

      edit: ok found the rule but that is in the for sale section. i'm not trying to sell or promote anyones sale.....i'm asking an opinion on soemthing i found there. is that illegal as well?

          don't know which 1 you was looking at but I bought and have installed the following from where you was asking for:

          DC-Sports Header
          Megan Racing High-flow Cat
          HIMOTO(TENRAI) Stainless Steel 2.5" catback system

          I like my setup and it was not too expensive either.

            how about any of the 'tuneable' mufflers with a silencer that you can put in and take out? anyone tried any of those? I don't care about performance to much just more worried about sounds some times.

            my last car(camaro Z28) had all stock exhaust but i put an electric cutout in front of the muffler. i could open and be loud or close and be quiet by pussing a button. thought about doing that on this but I don't know.
