They're pretty average. My friend has a full 3" cat back OBX on his del Sol. It's loud as hell. If you're just trying to pick a muffler for a custom 2.5" setup, I doubt you'd see any power difference between a 4" tip OBX and an Apexi N1

its what i have right now, sounds great. i used to have the obx evo style muffler, never had any issues with it. quality was great, but i had to take it out cause of a fix-it ticket.

not really. my exhaust will have a slight raspiness at times only cause ive never driven it with both the cat and resonator... its always one or the other.

this video is the most recent, from our norcal meet... if you havent seen it already.

fastfoward to about 2:00... youll be able to hear my car starting off in the background. kinda hard to hear cause of the beemer coming by.

these are older vids. i believe these are with a resonator and no cat.

If its "quieter" when VTEC kicks in then I'd say hell yeah its restrictive. But for the price a shop is going to charge you to weld on a new muffler, you could buy a full catback and bolt it on yourself. I'd reccomend doing so, because if your muffler rusted out, there's no telling what your exhaust system looks like. If you go that route, make sure you get stainless so it won't rust.

Ive had one on my Integra now for a solid minute, and its very noticeable, it made my VTEC quite loud and my butterflies even louder (almost pops when vtec kicks in)...I'd honestly suggest a Ractive muffler, had one on my Nissan, gave it a nice tone with a lifetime warranty

Hmm.. I'm not so sure about Ractive. If you strap a muffler on with no piping, basically what you have is: A noisemaker. Ractive, OBX, carbon fiber strap on mufflers, etc. are for ricers. Thats just my opinion.

^^, well i bought the box evo style muffler, but its not just to slap onto my stock piping, im having a local reputable muffler shop run 2.5 inch piping and a resonator as well for me.
