Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i used to have flowmaster 40 on my cb (only mod i had at that time was a s/r K&N), but i didnnt like it cause it sounded too raspy for me and not deep enough. But it depends on whaat u want. I have tanabe hyper meddalion now and it sounds so much better . If you going to put flowmaster`, then dont put on test pipe cause it will soud like complete shit when you accelerate.

It's true than mandrel bends aren't really necessary for a mild street car... but I would get a real system over a muffler shop special if I had the choice again. I paid damn near what a good system would cost for what I have... If you can get a crush bent system for $200 or less, then by all means. 2.25" is best for the F22 either way... mandrel is just the better of the two options. On a mild car, the difference between a 2.25" crush bent system and a 2.25" mandrel bent system is probably less than 5 usable horsepower. If you can save $250 by getting a crush bent exhaust, you can gain more than 5hp by using that money wisely elsewhere (a $100 header, a cheap intake, a lightened crank pulley...)

Stick to the Accord specific sizes (2.5" intake, 2.25" exhaust) and don't bother with the injectors (not to mention you'll need a new ECU for them anyway). The cam and throttle body are good mods, and they're different from where people usually begin! The cam gear isn't a great idea unless you plan on going straight to the dyno. I have a set of gears for my H22 that have been in my basement for over a year. I'm waiting until I get a valvetrain, some cams, and a few hundred to properly tune the car (also a P28 ECU that [mike] has been chipping for a couple months now kidding Mikey! can't argue with a favor!) You might want to look into a header. DC Sports are popular headers, but I would start with an ebay one if you're limited on cash. They're not the best, but one will provide better flow than your stock piece. To compliment your bigger throttle body, an H23 intake manifold would be a decent upgrade as well.
