Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    debate on muffler...

    so i went to the local muffler shop and asked him about an estimate on crush bent piping. for 2.25" piping installed would be 90 bucks. as for the muffler, im a bit confused...they have magnaflow but i dont want the big chrome tip.
    although they are selling it for cheap (140 installed, backed by lifetime on the muffler, 1 yr on labor) and might even give me a combo discount it is kinda tempting.

    BUT, i didnt want to forget the muffler that i originally wanted...
    Vibrant flat black muffler, more stealthy and still straight thru design.


    the piping wont include resonator so im kinda wondering if it'd be raspy or not. i like my current magnaflow muffler right now but the canister is a bit on the small side; although it kinda sounds like the G35...kinda howls.

    Sounds like a good deal... But I would see what they would charge for manderal bends instead... Crush bends just suck unless your on a budget

      they dont do mandrel...only option for me would be to buy off kteller or get a cheap cat back system off ebay and use their piping and both options are around 200 not installed.

      id rather do the crsuh bent...

        get a magnaflow xl truck muffler, paint it flat black with caliper paint or hight temp engine paint, they don't have tips and are cheaper than the canisters, or order the vibrant muffler and have them build the catback with that muffler.

          i think ill just go with the vibrants...
          eh, actually...im not doing it till after my motor swap which is in jan., so i have ways to go.

            When you are ready to do your exhaust, get an RSR muffler, they sound sick as fuck, deep, and quiet.

              i dont want it quiet...the whole reason is to get something loud w/o having to floor it all the time.
