Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    uber settings/low comp pistons

This is my NEW situation , so got a new computer from r33 and she works mint, using a sweet map that works great, but i am running into a problem at idle. It is really sloppy, like not holding constant at all, and the vacuum is around 16-18. I am running lower compression pistons (like 8;1) but would this account for about a loss of 6 in/hg?
It is throwing the IAC code, and have tested that also. I have hooked direct current to it to MAKE sure that it opens and it smoothes it a bit, but still wont pull more then 20 in/hg of vacuum.
My brother suggested cam timing could be off (maybe skipped a tooth) and that could be a reason for it being sloppy, but it isnt throwing the TDC code from the computer...
Most of u know the engine i am running, so i am not going to go on about it. I am using uber to change the curve, and at idle the A/f is around about 21 and then as soon as i give it some gas she jumps right to 14-12 which i like. HAvent tested under boost yet bc i need higher octane fuel and havent gotten to the gas station as of yet...

seems like a mechanical problem more than an uber problem tho. Do a compression test and make sure everything is ok on the inside. Check the timging like your brother said. And completely fix the IAC. If your around 20 in/hg you'll be fine, mine runs about a 20-21 in/hg at idle so if your within 1-2 in/hg your fine. Is it only idle thats weird? Hold 2000rpm and check the a/f's then. You should be pulling almost exactly 19in/hg if everything is ok.
