Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

eh learning hands on is definelty better and more effective then otherwise but i think its very very important that ppl have some knowledge before they go and start tearing shit out of their cars. i know some ppl that can just go and do something, but myself i wont just go into doing something before reading up on it and possible things people encounter while doing it.

Very good point my friend But anyway i just got "Maximum Boost" yesterday in mail and i just love this book! Read it every chance i have and i'm learning alot from it! Anybody that want to learn about making or installing a turbo system then check this book out by Corky Bell! Only thing i don't like about it is that it somewhat have you going back chapters and up chapters to understand what he talking about. But all in all it is really worth what i paid for it, 20 shipped at amazon.com regular 34.95

It contains the basics of swapping in D/H/B's, building, race-building, bolt-ons and how an engine works. I got mine for 7.95 at a used book store with my chiltons. It is definately a good buy for a newb.
yeah , i agree. wish they had some info on te F-series. i just bought it last week and got most of the info i needed out of it already. time for a CAI, and which one. decisions, decisions, decisions. time for some more research.
excellent book tho. well, worth the wide variety of info.
