Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

      On this topic,

I was looking at an SR20DE's TB and compared the my old F22a1's its HUGE. And the SR20DE is only a 2.0 compared to the F22a1's 2.2.
Would it not flow more air with a larger TB? I know about Maxbore.com's $100 deal but even bored out the F22a1 still looks puny.

it fits just fine. You just have to port match the Intake manifold to get its potential out of it.

That's what i thought, it flows well, and you could even have it serviced by maxbore and have it better.

It would flow more air, but if you flow too much you are going to take your powerband up to high to get much use out of it. The head on the f22 is crap so having a throttle body that flows really well won't do much good unless you port the head and intake manifold too.

yeah, i mean, sure it could fit, but it requires a lot of work to get it to port match the intake manifold. and if ur gona use an h23 tb, u might as well use an h23 im

^^ agreed^^ ur not gaining much with just slapping a bigger TB on like that......not with a F22a1 engine...! do a head swap and problem solved!!

uh, guys, seriously, it physically doesn't fit. Here's an H23 throttle body and gasket on an F22 IM. Notice the studs in the back are inserted into the throttle body, but the ones up front come short, and the gasket is bowed because the studs are too close together:

yes, boring out ur itnake mani, and TB is cheaper than buying a diff im and tb, well in some cases. but u should go buy a die grinder, and a PnP tool kit, and do it urself, it will be a lot cheaper, and also u learn. its really not that hard to do it urself.
