Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

So that price listed on there is for a pair?? I was planning on getting front and rear so if it's only 180 for drilled/slotted for the front and rear I'll definitely get some of those.

me personally i would never buy both or just crossed drilled rotors. i myself have power slot rotors front and rear. they dont rust (letting the car sit for 4 months outside). i also dont have any warping issues at all. im going to be doing a prelude vtec 93-96 front brakes, so ill be getting power slot rotors again.

my other reason why i dont like crossed/drilled rotors is because i drove a 97 gsr with those front and rear with abs and my car stopped alot better with just the front slotted rotors and with drum brakes. myfriend said the samething after being passenger in both cars.

Yep, make sure you're buying from a good place that chamfers (sp?) them and uses a CNC machine. My opinion on rotors for what it's worth- stock has plenty of brake power for the street. I'm not sure how much an Accord weighs, but Preludes are fat asses, and blanks get the speed down plenty quick, and if it's a real emergency, threshold breaking together with compression braking will get you stopped in no time (that is if you have manual so you can compression brake). Now, I'm looking into drilled rotors because I get horrible brake fade once they heat up, and they heat up badly and fairly quickly if I'm going downhill (I live near the mountains and go up often), so I do need something for heat dispursion. For flat areas, I don't see the point. When looking at drilled rotors, as the one guy said, he's seen a cracked rotor, it happens. But a lot of that is how agressive you're getting, if you bought a quality rotor that was drilled properly, and how much surface area they left. You don't want too many holes, it makes it weak and less surface area takes from braking power. As for slotted, you're just shearing away your brake pad. It's nice and powerful because you never have a problem with glazing and you have a little more heat dispursion, but you're costing yourself pad longevity. Maybe you can balance that with better (Hawk/EBC greed stuff/axxis) pads, but that I'm not sure about that, no one's ever given me a good answer on that. Anyway, some good blanks and high quality pads will do if you're not racing or going down hill, I'm going for *quality* drilled rotors *with as few holes as I can find* because I do drive rather agressivly sometimes, and go down a mile worth of mountain fairly often. If I were racing, I'd probably try slotted first, make sure you don't get glaze, and see if that would do for keeping the rotor cool. I'm almost positive I've seen something on how pad gasses are almost non existant anymore, that was a problem from back in the day, so evacuating the gasses isn't crutial, so just focus on surface area, heat dispursion, and over all quality. That's been my take anyway, so make sure you're choosing for your needs.

Sorry about the double post, just didn't want to edit, afraid no one would see this. About that website, what blanks are they using to drill?

Does anyone know of some crossdrilled / slotted rotors with big-brake kits that are of GOOD quality. I'm willing to spend extra money to get it done right.

                Thanks

I have a pair of Magnum cross drilled for the front with some $50.00 brake pads(FORGOT THE NAME). Its stops much quciker and better than stock because I use to abuse my stock rotors.
