Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Installing Header

are there any guides or anything to install header? im about to buy one but i need some guidance on how to do it cuz i don't want a shop to do it.. they charge like $150 for the job alone...

first of all you'll need a good lift to lift your ride to have an acces to the bolts/nuts under the car that connects the header to the exhaust pipe.. i think its pretty self explanatory? if you have the "OEM style" then it should drop in place like the stock ones.. from there just copy the bolt patterns the stock header has and apply it to the new ones ur trying to install...im thinking about getting headers for my car also and i havent done this kind of job too..but at least thats how i would do it..but make sure you have a company so if ever the car fells off the jack you got somebody to call 911..just kidding hehe..

i had to loosen the front motor mount and push it over a little (the bolt) because we couldnt get it to fit right in but other then that its pretty cake and make sure u have someone strong to get the stock downpipe off of the cat...the bolts are prolly rusted to shit like mine were...

just be careful u dont break off a stud in the block cause then u gotta tap it and thats a pain. and make sure its a 2 piece header itll be a lot easier to install.

On the head, yes. On the DP to header, no they are supplied. On the DP to cat, best get some new ones.

just use the stock ones, they will fit as song as u dont round off the head or break the stud in the block.

lots of penetrating oil and let it sit for an hour to do its job. the heat from the manifold tends to fuse metal together.
