Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    DC header question

    Engine: F22a1 (91 LX)
    Body: 90 EX

I want to get a DC 4-2-1 ceramic coated header, but which do I buy?

Will both the LX & EX DC headers bolt up to the F22a1 (LX) engine?

Are there any advantages on where the O2 sensor is taking readings from, one better than the other?

Note: I'm using a P06 ECU with my setup, so the stock F22a4 (EX) ECU will not be a factor.

i have an LX, but it's canadian, so i think that's equivalent to the DX in the states.
i got the ceramic DC header used off a guy who had it on his EX-R (again canadian), and it fits great.

the only thing was that i had to change was the location of the O2 sensor. it was located on the down pipe, and i had to change it to the header. this was easy, just unscrew it from the old location and screw it back into the new location.

so, in short, yes i think the LX and the EX headers will fit onto the LX engine.

but, please correct me if i'm wrong.

I think the DX, LX headers have the O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold, whereas the EX version has it on the downpipe.

So if I get a EX DC header and mount it to my F22a1 engine, can I just leave the O2 sensor hooked up on the downpipe?

Is it better for the O2 sensor to be located on the exh. manifold or downpipe?

if you leave the O2 sensor on the downpipe, the wire will not be long enough to plug it in.

you will have to move it to the manifold like i did.

Where is the O2 sensor wire coming from?

I guess this determines everything it seems.

Also, is the O2 sensor locations the only differences between the DC headers for the LX/DX & EX versions...cuz they are two diff part #'s
