Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    HELP PLEASE!! vaccum line valve?

i don't know what the problem is but when i first start my car and drive it for about 10-20secs the car will stutter when i press on the gas and bog down. but after the few seconds of jerking back and forth it starts to drive normally. i changed the injectors thinking one or two might not be working correctly but the problem still exists. can anybody tell me what might be wrong??? fuel pump or bad fuel filter? any ideas? the black valve on the back of the firewall isn't hooked up but my car is mannual now so i don't think i need it or do i?

Sounds like you might have a vacuum leak or possibly your ignitor is going bad. Check all your major vacuum lines going to/from the intake manifold and make sure the hoses are still somewhat pliable. You should typically let your car warm up just a little anyway, at least I do.

imma have to agree w/ phatdoughnut with possibly the fuel filter being dirty. you might as well change it, to see if that solves your problem. they don't cost much and won't hurt your wallet. coz if that is the problem, you're actually making the injectors and fuel pump work harder which in the long run, will end up costing you more than just replacing the fuel filter.
