    attention all Apexi WS owners

hey i am currently purchasing a Apexi WS 2 cat back and soon a DC Sorts 4-2-1 header and probably going to make my own straight pipe, i was wondering if any of you with the WS has ran with a sraight pipe and if it stills sounds not to loud, i know it will probably be a little raspy but just thought i would see what you guys said first, and if not a straight pipe then any recomendations on where i could get a good qualty high flow cat for a good price. thanks for any input in advance.

I was the WS2 and DC headers on the stock cat... quiet dont see any point in taking out the cat.. maybe 1hp if that?

theres not really a high gain at all since its such a little peice of the system, that is unless you have FI then its a little bit larger of a gain, but still, its not THAT huge

I had the WSI catback, dc header, straight pipe for cat...and I HATED it, it was a very annoying raspy loud sound...then I replaced it with a mangaflow.carsound cat which Im very pleased with.

just ordered a ws2 aswell, but will those generic high flow cats any good or will they take away from the nice quiet noise the ws2 has

just get a magnaflow/carsound cat. theyre not expensive (mine was less than 100 bucks) and they dont take away from the quiet sound at all.

do you mean the cat or piping for the exhaust

the cat was 2.5 i think
the piping was 60 mm or ~2.25

i put a test pipe on my apexi ws system for a run or two at the track and it was still quiet, but at higher rpm it sounded like i had a little hole in my muffler.

that was just in my case though (straight pipe).. i mean, a true high flow cat like they were referencing above might be a lot better on the ears.. but i haven't heard those exhaust setups in person yet. i know the magnaflow cats are pretty good though.
