How much faster is an H23 compared to a F22a1? Is it really worth the swap if I just want a bit more power and quicker pick-up?, or should I just do a a6 manifold swap with new headgasket and timing belt and be happy with it?

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

why not put the h23a head on the f22a? ... shameless plug hahahah you'll retain your iron sleeves.. u wont have to pull the motor (makes it easier on newbies) and u have the tuneability & better capabilites of a twin cam head (it flows more than a f22a head).. not to mention the intake manifold/throttle body are bigger than f22a componets.. oh and if ur into that whole stock look ur stock exhaust manifold will bolt up to the head..
Praise The Lowered...

Yes...all are noticeable differences and worth the swap. You need to decide on what your futur goals are. If you are just looking for another engine then swap the h23 for the low end tq. I loved it before I decided to head swap."This is a jaded bunch. To gain notice, you have to challenge conventional wisdom, test assumptions, and ignore the naysayers."

^ yeah, what he said...lol.
im about to block post my extra block and i got a set of custom pistons on the way with rings, etc.
but as for the choice i say.... if u are a tuner like must of us, and do modifications for yourself and the respect of others, go with the head swap....to get mad props, but if your not to concern about all that and just wanna swap and call it a day, get the whole h23 motorNEED RAP BEATS.....
