Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

dude dont post more than once. sorrie G...im not yelling or anything, but people will see it. for now i put it in the other one in the appearence forum where i think it should go unless u have some technical question about this product.

yet the other 3 posts u done may be deleted my an administrator....yet the one i put in appearance will stay.

too bad i have no power over this forum muahahhahaha fizz bob move over! lolz jk.

dont get discouraged though man...pretty clean valve cover though, i wonder if its heat treated and long lasting.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

          Retro!

I'm thinking about doing my in a couple weeks. I read a good diy on it and it seems pretty straight forward.. Did you do yours yourself?

i got mine off of ebay and it was stripped of the black stuff already...just plain aluminum. but i heard that it chips off easily. i took it to a polishing shop and they only charged me like 20 bucks to do it

Yeah all you need is aircraft grade paint stripper for getting the paint off. Other than that I just heard that it takes a lot of time with aluminum polish and a dremel using sandpaper. What kind of shop would do polishing like that? How does it look compared to the chrome... is it still pretty shiny?
