Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

F22 Head On H23 Bottom End

i found a 91 ex at the salvage yard with a

    f22a head on a h23 bottom end.

what goal was being achieved with this set up?

i looked the car over. it didnt have any major mods to

back up the engine set up. not even an intake upgrade...
RIP 4/23/12...lets not forget, the 88" Z31 turbo, are my dailys

It was likely a cost consideration. There is nothing to gain from this if it's a straight swap.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

The H23 has increased compression....so you may get like a little 5whp gain. I imagine the owner was poor and needed a new bottom end and some mechanic well versed in Hondas probably had it laying around and slapped it together for cheap.
