Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

hey cb's can anyone tell me the different between an f22 and a h23 intake manifold

cuz i jus readed the intake manifold DIY http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=16242

and i jus want to know the different between those two like (power gain, air flow, throttle response, etc.) before i start working on my cb cuz thats alot of work and time so yea....

H23's plenum(the top part) is larger so you're going to have more air flowing in. However for some reason people don't consider the H22 adapter which allows fitment of the Skunk2 and Euro R manifolds which are somewhat larger.

It means if you use the adapter plate you can run these "supposedly superior" intake manifolds that wont normally bolt up/line up. Which is pointless, people go this route for the bling factor most of the time and besides most everyone on this site who does the manifold swap isnt pairing it with headwork, a new cam, or bottom end built with any form of tuning to cary a powerband high enough for a Skunk manifold.

Just do the typical and proven F22A6 manifold, or the H23 one. If you want to, you can use the F22A6 lower runners with the larger H23 plenum on top.

I have the option of using an entire H23 IM or using the runners and IAB plate from an A6 with the H23 plenum on top. What would you all suggest?

There was a thread that went WAAY into the differences, but i think the bottom line was the A6 runners were like .5'' longer i believe?

Either way, nothing to split hairs about but everyone agrees the h23 plenum is larger in volume and i believe the H23 throttle body is larger as well, but dont quote me on that.

Just run whatever bottom end you already have and run the h23 upper half plenum/ throttle body.
