Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Quick Question to a little problem...

I have a 90 Coupe that has an H23A1 in it and various other mods and sods.

My baby is under almost a meter of snow right now under a car cover. Yeah, it snows up here in Canada and my igloo isn't big enough to house the car for the winter.

But since I was dropping by CB7 today, I thought I would ask the following:

In October, I took my baby for a spin and she ran great. Fast, Tight, Not too Loud but distinctive. It was great. I tried to start her up two weeks later and she would crank but not turn over. But the thing was when I went and got a bit of Ether, she would burn the ether no problem until it was all burnt up. (Yes, I KNOW how to use Ether. Little squirts.) And she took that from the end of the CAI.
I could not smell a lot of fuel out of the tailpipe so I think it is either the fuel filter needs to be replaced or the pump has quit on me.
Either way, it SUCKS @$$. So, come the spring, I'm going to try and replace the filter before I replace the pump.

Now, the pump is easy to get at since I haven't an interior. (Yes, I tore it all out. I have a 91 sedan if I want to look pretty. It's an EX. Here that's one below the EX-R. I think it's an LX there in America.)
But I was going to replace the filter first, remember?
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....After trying and failing to get that DAMN bolt off the top of the filter housing, I am going to ask you guys if the bolt is a CW or a CCW threaded bolt. (Lefty Loosy or Righty Loosy?)
I did not want to force the thing too much as I am quite capable of torqueing the whole assembly off the firewall.

Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Eh?

    fellow canadian.

the fuel filter bolts are both lefty loosy. When i did mine they were a real bitch, It will feel as if the filter bracket wants to break off the firewall, however it will bend alot. Use lots of wd40 and let it sit for awhile it should come loose. Hope your using honda parts too, the crappy tire ones are threaded wrong. maybe the fuel is bad thats why it didnt start?

    where bout in Canada?

I'm in Pembroke, Ontario. I live here because I was in the military until 6 months ago and my fiance lives here.

As for the fuel....I was thinking of that, but hoping otherwise. I put in a bunch of Fuel Stabilizer before I threw the cover over her to help reduce that being the culprit. I only hope it works.

Lefty, hmm? Thanks for that. I was concerned about the direction because of the flex I was getting, as you mentioned. Nice to know I am not the only one who has noticed this. If that bracket snaps off the wall, I'm going to be REALLY pissed off.
