Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

alright two errors. one that person was confused its the h series engine and two its fiber reinforced materieral... i dont knwo which fiber but i doubt its fiber glass i dont think it could hold up. w/e it is frm sleeves cant handle boost so if u go h22 u cant run more then 5 lbs i think some people wont run any boost

different sleeves
midnite is correct
f series is cast iron with anti-friction compound nikasil
h series has ceramic fiber matrix sleeves
the f series is better to boost for two main reasons
1- it lower compression 8.8 to 1 where the h22 is already 10 to 1 and higher. in essence to much pressure for the block and components to handle.
2-the f series has the iron sleeves which can take the boost better..you could run im guessing maybe 7-10lbs with relative safety. only concern is the stock rods in the f series are only good for 200hp max so your better off getting new stronger rods. if your gonna spend the bucks on turbo..dont skimp on engine parts.Last edited by xfactortype1; 02-18-2005, 05:32 AM.
