Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Damnit, I knew someone else was thinking this...lol I'm always late to these threads...lol

    Obviously I do the same!

Proven 390whp N/a is pretty epic if you ask me, and imagine if you pieced a dsm kit together with what you had left over!!!

Boost would kid of defeat the purpose of that build, and blow it up probably. Also, IIRC Bisi was running carburetors and his level 3.x custom grind cams on his first record setting crx.

If you have real hard money N/A is the best to go, but boost is lovely and that's what I'd probably end up doing with $10K. Putting a turbo on a N/A build would be very bad and as scudweiser said it would probably blow the motor due to a lot of differences in the parts.

            Hmmm...

I'd probably take my $10k and go buy a used sports car.

An Accord isn't exactly the first car I think of when I think "engine build"

This is only $9100. That allows for $900 in metal for new firewall and rollcage and filler metal.

I'd buy this for sure. Start cutting, welding, and fitting everything I could onto the CB platform. LS3, RWD, interior pieces, dash, and no back seats due to cage to prevent the car from turning itself into a giant coil, ect.

                  Hello 500hp RWD NA accord!

This is pretty stupid... but hey, it's nice to dream a little..

If I had 10Gs in my pocket right now that was set aside for my car, I would think about getting serious driving lessons. Technically that would be spending it on performance of my car because I would learn how to get more performance out of what I already have.

Another thing I would seriously consider is adding 5Gs and buying a Vette and a few bolt-ons for it. Fast car with very little work.

If I wanted to spend 10Gs on performance of my Integra:
                      - built block and head $3500
                      - turbo setup with top quality parts $2000
                      - exhaust cut-out(w/ labor to install) $500
                      - AEM water/meth kit $400
                      - koni yellows $500
                      - traction bar $300
                      - itr sway bar $150
                      - cf sun roof plug $400
                      - eCtune $200
                      - nice autometer gauges $300
                      - cf hood/hatch $1000
                      - nice drivers seat $800
                      That's 10Gs

                      On an Accord:
                      - shell $500 (I obviously don't have an Accord)
                      - koni yellows/neuspeed springs $750
                      - poly bushings all around $250
                      - 17" rota attacks/falken azenis $1000
                      - new brakes/brake lines all around $400
                      - fully built/sleeved h23vtec w/ labor $4500
                      - turbo kit with top quality parts $2000
                      - 3" exhaust w/ labor $600
                      that's 10Gs

I'd sell the CB and get a Ducati 1198 and have some fun. Either that or I'd go on a long road trip to far and away places. Anyone in Ontario right now could probably understand the merits of that.
