From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Bisimoto H22a Header Dyno

Hello all, my Bisi header is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

So I am starting this as a quick question as to what people would prefer for dyno scenarios

    My current setup.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    H22a ~60,000 miles
    stock internals
Euro-R intake manifold (Port matched to TB)
    PBT 74-68mm tapered TB
    Acura RDX injectors
    EBAY 2.75" SRI

Kteller 3" stainless manderal bent exhaust
    carsound 3" cat
    3"X18" straight through resonator
3" Magnaflow oval (not straight through muffler)

Stock JDM h22a Header with 2.5" collector modification.

Tuned by me on Neptune RTP
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

The test will be between the Stock JDM header with the 2.5" collector mod Vs the Bisi header.

So the question is header dyno with or without exhaust?

    Scenario 1 (With Exhaust)
    1) Dyno with current setup and current street tuned map.
    2) Install Bisi header
    3) Street tune
    4) Dyno with bisi header and exhaust

If I decide to do it with the exhaust it will probably take a little longer, and will not be done on the same day.

    Scenario 2 (Without Exhaust)
    1) Install Bisi header
    2) Street tune
    3) Go to dyno and remove exhaust
    4) Dyno both headers

If I do them without exhaust they will be on the same day, literally a direct before and after, only thing to change will be the header and the map.

The second option will be cheaper for me and is what I am leaning towards, but if others really want it with exhaust.... well lets just say I am persuadable.

EDIT: It was stupid of me not to include a poll for this thread LOL... If the moderators want to that is ok, if not we can just go on a general consensus
    32
    Header WITHOUT catback exhaust?
    28.13%
    9
    Header WITH catback exhaust?
    71.88%
    23

    The poll is expired.

scenario 2 doesn't seem like the best way to do it, cause you'd be running the stock header on the bisi header tune. how much would that affect the outcome?

      Nopes

I will switch back to the stock header map for the stock header dyno.

Then use the new tune for the Bisi one.

Just a click of the button to switch. Got to love EEPROM

I voted with. Without the catback is to measure its full power. With the catback is to measure its realistic, everyday power.

              Price

The f22 header is 849, the h22 header is more expensive, it is currently not listed on Bisimoto's site.

The idea is to show a change in horsepower, not an expected maximum horsepower.

So the lack of exhaust might skew the results slightly, but I still think it is the best option.

As for the header... It is currently stuck in SaltLake City. I don't know why...

So I might not get it until tomorrow.

i voted for testing with the exhaust. its a more realistic number, and the header was designed with a full exhaust in mind.

                            header is in hand

Header has arrived, if you want to see pictures jump over to The h22 group buy thread under the bisimoto members shops section.

You will also find the first stock vs bisi comparison Dyno there. It's on what appears to be a basically stock h22.

I am.still doing this test, especially since I have better intake hardware then that test.

That motor made +18 whp over stock, so there is a precident for me now lol.

I have a Dyno appt on Thursday for the baseline and will hopefully http the after Dyno done late next week.

I'd just Dyno it on what you drive with everyday...so that probably means w/ the Exhaust to get a good grasp of what it'd be like from a day to day standpoint.
