Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Being that i now upgraded to a 3 inch muffler im gettin a 2.5 flexpipe and a 3 inch muffler . So imma hit up kteller.com as a reference . BUt which one should i get hmm lets get a rundown shall we. Lets start with exhibit A:

less bling is the thing and its less noticeable if a cop wants to fuck with you,you have the elgiblity to say its stock.

the muffler is a 5x8with equal inlets and outlets

Now heres the next one its the 3 turbo oval muffler looks pretty nice too imo

Their just images of the product that he's lookin at .. prolly pulled um from their site ?? I dunno .. but,

I got the Ractive dual tip (3inch) fits the hole in the bumper perfectly ..and
I used two 18 inch resonators ..and never get hassled by the cops .. but if I stand on it
it'll tend to be louder in the higher rpm's ..much more throaty .. deeper ..

I've never been a fan of the single tail pipe.. something about the dual tips that I seem to like ..
The ends of the tips are *rolled* if you will, (beveled) to kina give it a more stock look.
At 3" per tip .. it fills that bumper space quite nicely .. and sounds rather mild for what it is ...

      A Hui Hou !!!

Hey sparkle, I have the same exact problem, my exhaust is way too loud even with a silencer built in, and 1-18 inch resonator. Secondly, I don't really like my exhaust tone, it sounds like shit, regardless of my 2.25 cat back. I think I would go with the first one, it looks stock, and backpressure is a good thing from what i heard in our cars. The straight through deals don't work well apparently.

if you want the "stock" look, the 1st choice gets my vote. but lemme know if you want something that looks similar to the greddy sp or apex ws muffler coz i got one for my cousin's gst when he changed his exhaust piping to 3in.

everycar needs backpressure or else you'll just burn the exhaust valves up in no time. Theres a limit to what you need and don't need for backpressure.. they way i see it is.. you need to figure out what exhaust system will actually "pull" the exhaust out of the cylinder head for more free flowing... if it pulls out then you'll make the most power.. if it just dumps out wherever it goes you'll lose too much power... and if it has to fight to get out of the exhaust that only causes a loss of power.... figure out how much restriction each part of the exhaust system is.
