Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i think it would be a waste of time and money for no or barely any gains. maybe even loss in hp.

well im not sure, i know "throttle body spacers" work good for mustangs and cars like that but never heard of any good gains with hondas. If they did make power alot of people would have them.

yea my cuz has one on his wrangler and it gives him crazy gains in hp and mpg, but another guy i know has one on a protege 5 and he said he lost power and mpg. depends on the car. im guessing cb7s arent ones to like the TBS

Bringing this one back. Looking at cb7's and cb7 parts on ebay and saw a cb7 w/ a throttle body spacer on the f22a1. It was a "Helix Power Tower throttle body spacer." The first site (link below) had their years and engines confused a little. Listed as 93-97 (instead of 94-97?) and a F22b DOHC instead of F22b SOHC in the 5th gen! So they have their motors a little confused. The part #'s are the same for all the 93-97's, so I'd assume they'd fit an f22ax.

Personally, the gains from this can't be what they say they are. "Dyno tests resulted in up to a 20 horsepower gain, with dramatically increasing torque, thus improving the fuel mileage." I don't think so, where are the dyno sheets!?
MAYBE if the f22a had header, exhaust, p&p head and IM, fuel/ignition upgrades, etc then added a CAI and TBS at the same time, you could see some good gains. They're probably saying they found those gains b/c they purposely handicapped the motor!

What do you guys think? Interested to hear your thoughts, even though I'd probably never buy one of these.

It would probably give some gain, but I'm sure it wouldn't be anything too great.
