Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    6 puck CLutch/Findaza test drive

put her back together last night and took her out for a test drive.
made it down the driveway fine, onto the street...
    1st gear....fine til i try to get on it...WTH
rpm stoped at 3500 (just like when im using my full throttle launch)
2nd gear, starts fine......then same results, ok somethings up.
go back home pop the hood, speed sensor wasnt connected all the way, connect that.
    go back out....
cars driving fine. get on it a lil and the clutch seems to be grapping pretty well. (in 3rd & 4th gear)
turn back around and go down the highway back towards home.
get on it semi hard in 1st gear.....the back of the car dips down and front raises..... , smash into 2nd....spin, then hook up, front raises again....at this point im like HELL YEAH ...lol
then i let off it, park the car, and go in the house happy .
all in all, the clutch/FW was a great mod, hell of a lot more power getting to the ground now. (all i need now are stronger axles.)
i still wanna just drive it around the block a few times to see how she does, make sure everythings ok ( i think the coolant issues fixed also).

only thing...my clutch pedal is spongy as hell, the clutch works fine but my clutch pedal is not STIFF. but when i turn the car off, it stiffs up just fine, like normal.
i bleed the system but i did italone, with no one holding the pedal down while i bleed it, i just had 2-25lb wieghts trying there best to hold it in place, so it might be that i need to re-bleed it

Theo, you going to the Nashville, TN meet April 8-10?? I'm going to be there, it'd be sweet to see ya there bud. Let me know. There is a thread in OFF TOPIC about a "Nashville Meet", check it. Seems like a good showing will happen, that's why I'm coming from Michigan!!

    1) What fixed your coolant issue finally?

    2) How do you like your 8 lb Fidanza flywheel? I'm planning on that as well.

I might consider going, if I do Im not driving the turbo cb7, not street legal and that’s a long trip. But I like the fidanza, I mean, as far as driving wise seemed the same to me, I need to drive it some more to see the difference, I just drove it for like 10minutes last night just to make sure it drove. But the power from a stop was all….sum….
For the coolant issue, I don’t even know what it was..lol. I still need to drive it really good to make sure that’s fixed. I mean before when I would just get in the car….gun the hell out of it in boost, the coolant would start to boil over immediately, but last night I did the same and it was fine, even the bottom hose was warm (not dead cold like it was at first). For that issue I changed:
      The radiator, flushed, 160degree thermostat
      And 1.3bar radiator cap.
So like I said I don’t have a clue what might have fixed it (if its not doing it no more)…lol. But ill find out cause im gona drive the shit out of it when I get home today…lol

Bleed the clutch properly and rather then kicking the shit out of it right away why not break it in properly so the clutch, flywheel, and pp materials seat properly instead of prematurely wearing out.

when i said drive the shit out of it im not saying racing up and down the street like a bat out of hell...lol, im saying drive the car, meaning distance wise, i know the routine for breaking it in. just like i said, i took it out for 10minutes last night to make sure it was done correct (first time doing this).
once i seen that, im going to drive it around now, but not far from home, just incase something goes run....
trust me man, i didnt do all this to the car to tear it up

for the bleeding, im going to re do that tonight, i didnt have to much help with the clutch job, mainly did everything myself, but im gona get my wife to come outside tonight and pump the clutch while i bleed it
