Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Torque mount insert

Is it me or was there a DIY on how to use the energy suspension moroe mount on an automatic car. Where'd it go?

    its just you

i kid... is it the front motor mount your talking about? If so its just a 17mm bolt. The wrench (with u facing towards the car) should be on the left side of the mount..if u try to untorque the other side you'll be there till ur fifty-two. Push the inserts in, put the bolt back in and your done

Thanks for responding, I know how to do it, it's just that my car is an automatic and the inserts are for manual only. I remember there being a DIY where the guy cut the inserts to make them fit. That's what I need to know. What part to cut

Yeah they don't fit right in auto's. Check in DIY's for motor mount inserts. I wedged them in using some oil to make it slip in, then tightened it down with a bolt. I think you're better off buying a new dogbone, because those mounts were intended for manual trans. mounts.

i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

              Ok heres what I did

I found what I thought was a DIY from this site on Accord Tuner: Here it ishttp://board.accordtuner.com/showthread.php?t=6962
The guy cuts into the inserts so that they fit over the automatic mounts. It doesn't require that much cutting, the mounts are almost exactly the same. However since I was able to snag a manual mount I just but the inserts into that and installed it in my automatic car. That mount was in pieces but as soon as I find a good one, auto or manual, I'll install that one with the inserts.

My first inpressions are that they are working, I am noticing the vibrations that everyone is talking about, I however think that this can be fixed by inserting something between the inserts and the bracket. It'll have to be something thin
