Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Megan or Magnaflow?

I've used the search button extensively, but couldn't find a direct comparison between both companys as far as exhausts go.

I know Megan makes good quality 4-2-1 headers, and Magnaflow makes top of the line cats.. But with $100 and 0.25" size difference, which is the better buy?

These are what i'm currently looking at:
(Check my MRT if you need a mods list)

Magnaflow is 2.25" and $100 more expensive than the Megan (Including the shipping differences)

    Megan Racing is 2.5"
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Megan...RCHQ3aUSQ3a101

Personally i'd have thought the Magnaflow would have been 2.5", for my level of modification (And what i've got planned) 2.5" is the ideal.
I'm assuming the Magnaflow has a better muffler, and a better engineered Resonator.. But 0.25" is a sizeable amount when it comes to flow..

    Ideas guys?

i have 2.5" on my car custom catback from a shop, and the car is missing back pressure, so if you go 2.5" you should have plans to modify the motor. ie camshaft and/or more!

a lot of my mechanic friends say megan is crap...

I pulled the cam out of my spare engine today, going to have it sent away and machined to stage1 specs, then i'll swap it into my car when it's done.

Also i thought backpressure was a myth?

Personally i'd go with the Megan. That's just my opinion though.

Interesting.. Time to buy a BMW!

Another thing - Can i run a 2" Magnaflow cat before the system? Or should i hunt around for a 2.25" or 2.5" (To suit the Exhaust)

I'm not sure about all of that lol. These people can give you one for whatever you need. http://www.randomtechnology.com/ I don't know what it'll cost though.
