Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    f22 build?

    Ok...

so today we got the old f22 out of my car and the new ones going in...

im thinking of building the old f22 instead of investing in the h23 or h22..

Now im not sure turbo or n/a

what do you guys think i can make power wise while still retaining daily drivability?

or is it not worth the time and money?

    thanks

Go to the Naturally Aspirated section and read through the F22 builds thread and check out Hondafan's NA F22 SOHC expense list. NA, you can make some good power with some mild PnPing and using quality internals like what Bisimoto offers. Is it worth it? To some yes, to many, no. If you're heart is set on VTEC, you'll want an H22.

Turbo is a whole different story. To me, there's no way my DD would ever be boosted. Seems like even with self control the life span of the engine is limited. But some can do it, so check out the Forced Induction section. F22's are great candidates for boost, because of their low compression. Again, you'll have to decide for yourself. Any path you choose is probably going to cost you a couple thousand bucks by the time you're done.

yeah im thinking itll prolly be a better idea to go with the h22 or h23 because i can get decent power while only mildly have to work the motor..

thanks for the good info though

Powerwise I wouldn't go beyond 200-250. I talked to a few people about this before asking the same question and everyone said more than that would be a little unreasonable for a DD. N/A is probably going to cost you more depending on what you get done but a decent turbo setup isn't really going to be cheap either.
