Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Spoon chipped ECU

i got me a spoon chipped ECU a couple day ago from the same guys that did my swap..aparently they ordered an H22a from steve @ HMO and he sent a p13 that had been shipped by spoon and the guy that bought the motor wanted a stock ECU for whatever reason...so i bought the spoon ecu for $50 plus my old ecu!!!! this thing rocks i never thought a chipped ecu on a stock engine could help like it did...i love it. i would reccomend this thing to anyone. the only thing i dont like is the rev limiter is gone so i gotta be carful..but it pulls so much harder especially in V-tec it is sweet.

steve does have them in the misc section of the site. i am curious on vtec engagement points though. because i recently helped with a swap and it had a jun spec chipped p13 and it was horrible for the stock motor.

I bought a Spoon chipped p13 from Bustedlx and the vtec engagement is 5000 rpm.

okay the vtec engages at 5000- 5100 there is no rev limiter and the governor has been removed (i think havent been able to test it to make sure ) gas mileage sucks even more than it did before but thats okay..judging by my butt dyno aound 10-15 hp increase, maybe not quite that much but around that..

matt at alternative (the guy i bought it from) told me vtech would engage as anywhere from 5800-6000 but it engages much earlier than that.. if i can get a digital camera i`ll take some picks of it for everyone..
