Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

They're bisi rods, and they are beefy as fuck. More beefy than any of Eagle's H beams. And either way, the forces exerted by power happen after TDC. The major strains happen right at tdc and right at bdc when the piston/rod changes direction. Power isn't what dictates what makes a rod strong, but the rpm it can handle. Either way, it's a fucking solid rod.

I'd go nitrous. And if you need a tuner.....you know where I am I love high compression and I love boost. 10.5:1 is FAR from high compression. I've tuned a SC 11:1 setup on 8psi without issues.

u cant bring the boost down to 3-5 on a dsm setup without converting the turbo to external wastedate. plus why the fuck would you do that? run full boost on the actuator which is probably 12.5 on a 14b and just sit there and tune it till it runs good and no problems.

and i think i heard from someone, the higher compression ratio, the less margin of error in tuning

It depends on your whole setup . If your boosting on a small turbo your likely to have to boost more to make the same amount on a bigger turbo thats boosting less. You have to make sure you want a nice setup .

Dont go with a turbo thats too small thatll end up drawing in more heat and wont pull that much up top. You also dont want a big ass turbo thats so big itll spool up too late to were your more likely to lose a race.

You have to get soemthing in between . And instead of racegas go with water meth injection. It releases the same amount of octane and it cool/steam cleans the block.

Which will aid you in making more power and running more efficiently. Gotta bring down the air intake charge. I dont know about honda motors even though they can be built once you open em up and start tinkerin with things theres still no guarantee.

Modify the wastegate arm. Or use a carb spring and try different preloads.
