Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i'm not seeing a whole lot of difference with the 4.266 fd in the f22a6 tranny,

@ 3000 rpm i'll be doing 71.72 mph vs the stock 76mph all in 5th gear mind you.
your performance may increase a tad, but not a whole lot for it to be worth it.

either stick with the stock tranny or get the h22's, but just switching fd's is not the answer. now if we can get lower 4th and 5th gears ratios for the h22, i'd be all for that!

It'd be worth it if you could get the FD for super cheap and install it yourself. It's really not all that difficult to take a trans apart and putting it back together.

If the gears are truly swappable, I could probably have the perfect trans for under $200.

someone on here already swapped H internals into a 5th gen tranny. i heard that a 4th gen casing wont be rigth for the H series diff.

The guy swapped the ENTIRE gear sets into the F casing, not single gears.

oh...didnt know you wanted specific gears.

i do know that Brian (4th gen h22) has a F 5th gear on his 5th gen tranny. F final drive as well since he commutes. he can still pull a low 15.

15's is absolutely not amazing for an H22. Not a great arguement there wes, lol.

you honestly won't be that much faster for it to be worth $200.

at least not in my opinion.

i'm sure for $200 and some "pavement hitting hunting" you could find a decent h22 trans.

I'm talking a mixed set of H GEARS, not just the FD. Let's just say I know someone that breaks transmissions, a lot and has extra gears laying around.

$200 for an H22 trans? Sign me up. I've been looking for 2 years and haven't found anything under $400.

I have the 4.266 final drive in an H2U5 trans and I like the difference. Still have the Prelude 1st gear and the benefit of lower RPMs on the highway. Like Wes said, I can run low 15s and still get over 26MPG (average per tank). I think it is a fair trade-off.

Which prelude 1st gear? All h/f 1st gears, except the m2y4 and the european transmissions, are the same.

Some gears are part of the input shaft. So if you wanted them you can't press them off.

Yes, the 1st gears are all the same, but with the 4.026 FD there is a different total ratio. Since I have the 4.266 FD, the total ratio is the same as the prelude. That's all I meant by that...

he can probably dip into a 14 if brian took all the shit out of the back, better tires, and got a fantastic launch.

remmeber, he's a full interior car and no offense but brian aint light either

The electron blue h22 swapped cb7 was a DX and he only ran a 14.7

I found an M2A4 that I'm gonna swap this weekend in place of my Auto for only 100 bucks in Casa Grande, AZ. I just hope nothings messed up w/ it internally. The person said it had 87k w/ no grinds so i'm hoping for that.
