Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Exhaust/collecter size questions.

So, I guess 3" exhaust for the h22 is the way to go. It produces power and torque throughout the whole power band on a stock motor. My question is if I run a 3" exhaust do I have to upgrade the collector on my downpipe to 3" to see max gains? or is 2.5" ok?

I have a RS*R header atm with a custom hack down pipe, I believe the collector is 2.5". Was looking around for possibly one of those drag style replica headers or a tri-y but from what im seeing the drag 4-1 makes more power, though idk yet.

I was thinking of just ordering all the piping online and having a buddy weld it all together with a nice vibrant muffler at the end

2.5 collector for an engine with no power adders is fine.

the thing is you want the collector to be smaller but not small enough where it will restrict flow but not big enough to hurt exhaust velocity.

      2.5" collector should suffice.
