Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Anyways, the only thing you need from that vacuum box is your map sensor. It's the one thing that has hose coming out of it(splits into 2 immideately).

wouldn't running longer tubes to the map reduce it's accuracy?

Does a longer hose on your penis pump make a difference?

            maybe add more penile velocity?

just figured it might take a little longer for it to read manifold info with a longer tube...also...longer tube might collapse easier?

              I dunno...just checking

It's a vacuum hose...when have you seen any of your vacuum hoses colapse?(with the exception of the pvc hose).

Also, who said anything about making the hose longer? The sensor reaches the intake manifold just fine. For all that matters, you can use a cm long hose.

true...and other than oil soaked old nasty ones (which would be replaced in the event they became nasty oil soaked hoses) I can't say I have.

And for some reason I thought he was talking about putting the map somewhere further away than the stock ones distance.

Just seems like it would mess up the reading...like as in the time it takes it to pull vacuum from a longer line. Dah well

plus from a purely physics stand point, the pressure (vacuum in this case) is constant throughout the entire length. Its roughly synonomous with extending a clutch hose. It doesnt matter once its running. the pressure is constant throughout the system.

What would be the correct way to delete the canister? Also I have the PT6, how do I go about deleting the black box? Or do I just have to keep it?

you are thinking of liquid, and in that since your are correct...liquids are only BARELY compressible...not noticeable even over long tubings

however air is compressible...and it goes both ways...so with longer tubing the effect would be greater...but I guess adding a foot wouldn't do anything even the computer would notice

The one that goes back to the fuel tank people usually cut off further back under the car and put out the side. You'll probably get fuel vapour smell hanging around after you turn the car off.
