Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Suggestions for upgrading ignition system

    Hello there....
I have a F22a6 and I'm looking to upgrade my ignition system as stated in the title...

so far, I have NGK platinum's, NGK spark plug wires, and I recently replaced the dizzy cap and rotor button with duralast parts... just as replacements.

I've been doing some searching, and I found that MSD sells ignition kits... but I didn't find any that were specific for the F22.
From what I understand, more power in the coil means a bigger spark, which means faster ignition of gas/air, which means faster acceleration.

what are some good upgrades for the ignition system?
    thanks in advance!

The ONLY aftermarket igntiion upgrade you should ever do, unless pushing over 600whp, is an aftermarket coil. MSD, Accel..etc.

Everything else, replace with OEM parts(not parts that "meet or exceed oem specs" but actual Honda parts).

The stock Honda ignition system is VERY powerful and is very advanced. There's not much you can do to upgrade it unless you're pushing upwards of 600whp.

awesome... well I don't plan on running 600whp anytime soon.
So I guess the next thing on my list of things to order is an OEM Honda coil
      thanks for the info
