Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Ecu

I was wondering is there a speed limiter on a 97 accord ecu and if there is where does it top out at

    #2
my p13 topped out at 118 so that's probably where yours would too, if it's governed.

Take her on a long safe back road and find out. It'll prob cut out around 115 though.

Get a chipped ecu and you can remove the rev limit.

There must be something wrong with the car then unless the TCU has some sort of control over it. I've had P13 preludes to close to 130 on the back straight at 2 different tracks. My buddy topped out his 97 prelude at 140+ (speedo stops so we can only wonder how fast he actually went). Hell, I've had my f22 powered prelude up to 125 before I ran out of track. I think I was running a PT6 ecu though.

F22B1 red line is 6300 rpm. The speed limiter is 118 Mph. That's 40 Mph faster than you will ever need to go on the streets. On a track your Accord will never reach 118 Mph with a stock F22B1 anyway.
